About this site

Red and Black Anarchists is a resource for anyone interested in anarchism whether new to anarchism or not.

Red and Black Anarchists seeks to address widespread misunderstandings of anarchism that are current on social media built on narratives that first emerged in the legacy media.

Red and Black Anarchists understands that anarchism is premised on the fact of class struggle and the aim of global workers revolution.

Anarchism emerged out of the First International (IWMA) of 1864-72 as a theory and praxis informed by the works of philosophers such as Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, Mikhail Bakunin and Piotr Kropotkin (among others) as a response to the advent of the industrial society that first appeared in 19th century Europe and America. It seeks to end exploitation and oppression and acknowledges that capitalism and the State cannot be separated. The ultimate aim of anarchism is to replace the government of people with the administration of things by a global confederation of federations of people's assemblies.

Red and Black Anarchists is a developing project that aims to provide an expanded suite of facilities and resources. Red and Black Anarchists aims to publish texts relevant to anarchism as its initial project and seeks contributions in all languages from authors old and new.

Feature articles selected for publication are eligible to receive a small bursary. Contact: nogods@nomasters.org

Red and Black Anarchists is operated by a small collective based in Victoria and is made possible by the support of @Press Media.
